So... I have a question.

[Uh oh, this sounds promising. Ryuunosuke is sitting in the Game Corner, dressed in the clothing of the attendants. He's currently on break and playing a game of Voltorb Flip while he speaks. Someone else is clearly holding the 'Gear while he talks, though he doesn't make eye contact with the 'Gear.]

What are some really rare Pokémon? I'm getting bored of seeing the same ones all the time. I want to raise something that no one else has! Or at least something that very few people have. There's gotta be something cool out there that people aren't using!

[He flips a card over and makes a face when it's revealed to be a Voltorb.]

I've got plenty of money to spare, so I can buy Pokémon or eggs off of anyone who's got something I like. So show me your rarest Pokémon, okay?

[The feed cuts there, at least for the public.]

[ ROCKET VIDEO ]

[The feed returns a little while later, with Ryuunosuke still frowning at Voltorb Flip. He flips a card and grins when it reveals a "3".]

Awesome!

[He looks up at the 'Gear and smiles, tipping his head a bit to the side and trying to look cute. He manages for the most part, though there's a strangely distant look in his eyes, if you look closely.]

I think I'm going to go traveling. I like Goldenrod, but it's been awhile since I went anywhere, you know? Does anyone have any Pokémon they want me to get them or something? I'm thinking about heading to the Safari Zone - I've heard good things about it - but if you want me to catch you something somewhere else, I can do that!

...Alternatively, if anyone's got any plans in the future, let me know, alright? It's been so boring lately. Someone's gotta do something cool soon!

[Maybe Seth will attack again or something. Who knows?]

[Getting back to Goldenrod City was somewhat of a blessed relief for Celes - as nice as it was to see her classmates again, she needed space and the quaintness of Violet City wasn't doing anything for her - if anything, it made her uncomfortable. There was something about it that reminded her of home, and not in a good way. She needed to get out.

So of course, the second she arrived in Goldenrod she headed straight for what was familiar - gambling, of course. The Game Corner was where she felt the most comfortable, where she could just...relax into what she was good at. Where she didn't know anyone.

So it was somewhat surprising to run into a familiar face as she headed towards the Voltorb Flip table.]

...haven't we met somewhere?

[Pleased is good. Riku definitely can't fault the guy for his enthusiasm, so he offers a friendly, if a bit subdued smile.]

Sure do. Just give me a sec, and I'll go grab them.

[Though, since he only has Flare in his party right now, it may take a few minutes. Soon, however, he's back with two Pokéballs. Each one releases the usual red flash, depositing one grinning ape with bushy brows and a fighting frog that just... stares.

And stares.

Her eyes are directly on the camera, and she's not even blinking. The Darmanitan pokes her a few times, but she doesn't budge. Her grin widens a little, though. It seems she's amused.]

Here's a close look. I don't know if this applies to all Toxicroaks, but Dart's kind of... out there.

Oh, it's you.

[Dist sounds absolutely thrilled, really. Well, at least Ryuunosuke isn't trying to destroy Goldenrod with a giant tentacle monster today.]

But yes, business has been a little on the slow side, hasn't it? I'd like to change that as well.

[Oh no is he plotting something?]

Because life isn't full of rainbows and sunshine!

But yes, since you did offer, any powerful Pokemon from the Safari Zone, will suffice. Let's see. I don't believe there's any fairy type Pokemon in there but still, I need a build a team.

[Crocker proceeds to type away at the computer quickly.]

And...what are you speaking now, as far as you're concerned?

[Ryuunosuke looks up at the sound of someone approaching, and he grins widely when he recognizes the girl.]

Yeah, we have! We met in the base not long after you showed up here!

[He takes one last look at the cards, then gathers them up and begins setting up a new game for Celes, offering her the seat across from him.]

I haven't seen you in awhile though. Did you go somewhere?

Japanese! But I'm pretty sure you're not speaking that. It's pretty weird that we can all understand each other despite coming from different places!

Fairy-type? There's no such thing. Unless you're talking about Clefairy, I think that might be classified as a Fairy type Pokémon, but it's not literally a Fairy-type...

[He shrugs; that made perfect sense to him.]

But I'll see what I can do if I do end up heading to the Safari Zone.

[Well that's... pretty creepy! Ryuunosuke doesn't look bothered though, instead he's grinning widely.]

Oh wow, they look so cool! Where did you get them? I haven't seen either of them before!

[Oh boy, that sounds promising!]

Do you have something in mind, sir? Is there anything I can do to help?

[He might just be a bit overeager. Maybe.]

Well, I caught Dart as a Croagunk down at the Safari Zone. Thrash came as an egg, but I've seen Darumakas hanging around Cinnabar's volcano. The whole place is crawling with tough fire types.

[And Durants, for whatever reason. Riku stopped questioning it a while ago, though; it's not like this world hasn't brought surprises in the past.]

[Daintily seating herself, Celes watches Ryuunosuke setting up the cards, eyes unblinking.

In all honesty, his reluctance to be secretive about Team Rocket has made her curious - not that he was all that obvious about it, though. Still, it's interesting.]

I traveled to Violet City to meet up with some acquaintances of mine.

[Don't ask her about the trip.

Don't ask her about that goddamn-fucking-trip.]

I much prefer it here in Goldenrod, though. Violet was frightfully dull. Ever been there?

Oh, really? I've been considering heading to the Safari Zone! Is Cinnabar in Kanto? I haven't been there.

I have, yeah! It was only for a little while, but the place was pretty boring, yeah. Did you at least enjoy seeing your friends?

[He finishes with the cards and leans back, folding his arms behind his head.]

Yeah, it's way out of the way, south of Pallet and west of Fuchsia. But, hey, if you don't mind a long trip, I'd say it's well worth it. Not every day you get to explore a giant volcano.

[And, hopefully, an inactive one, given what he heard about the place getting incinerated.]

Of course. My friends mean a lot to me.

[Smile~!]

I doubt that many of them would be interested in a place like the Game Corner, however. Such a shame.

What do you mean there was no such thing as - Yes - CLEFAIRY!

Well, no. Fairies don't look like that where I'm from, however, it does look like a fairy for this universe. [However, this is Denzel and his compulsion and instinct. The man can't explain but -] I know that Clefairy is a fairy. [Considering he's spent so much of his life around those buggers back home.]

EXCELLENT!.. I only wish I could go myself. But it's too far, I'd never make it back in time. And it's besides the point I, Mr. Crocker, need to start balancing out my team of - POKEMON!

... Speaking of which, I already have a poison and fire types.

I would be glad to accept your help, Ryuunosuke. [That's his name, right? He can't remember them all...] I am in the process of attempting to gain support for my project, so while I can't give all the details right this moment, I can say that it'll be very interesting for all of us.

[Uh... okay... he'll just leave that part about the fairies alone...]

That does sound pretty cool! I'll have to visit it someday!

Aww, but the Game Corner is fun! There are all sorts of awesome prizes to win!

[A small smile creeps across Dist's face. Either Ryuunosuke's enthusiasm is infectious or Dist can't help but smile at how simple he is.]

You'll be the first to know. Honestly, we could use more reliable members like you.

I know you said you are traveling to the Safari Zone, but where else have you considered? Kanto apparently has plenty of rare Pokemon that Johto does not, for instance.

Let's see... I have a fire and poison.

I suppose, a Ground or Water type Pokemon.
