SEVENTH DESIRE ☠ ANONYMOUS VIDEO / ACTION [VIOLET CITY]

[Today's the last day of the tournament. Guess what that means? It's time for a Team Rocket attack!

Anyone in Violet City might have noticed the flames coming from the Sprout Tower, but in case you missed it, there's a video on the network. It's from an anonymous source, through from the looks of it, it's being held by someone filming the Rocket.

The Rocket is dressed in the usual Grunt outfit, mask and hat covering any identifying features, though it's clear that he's a bit on the thin side. Standing a few feet in front of him is an Absol blasting Flamethrower and Fire Blast at the Sprout Tower's door. Flames are licking up the sides of the building already, and if the screams are an indication, some of the monks are still inside.

After a moment of merely watching, the Rocket turns to the camera and holds out a sign. Like "Seth's" sign, this one is written over so many times it's hard to tell what the handwriting would have been like originally. The writing is in big block letters and is clearly visible:]

YOU WANTED SOME EXCITEMENT, RIGHT?

((OOC: Attack is mod-approved! Ryuunosuke is currently pretending to be Seth for Reasons. Action is available for anyone within Violet City, but please note that Ryuunosuke won't be caught this time!))

[So, that Absol? He or she is getting an Aura Sphere thrown at it from the distance. Whether it hits the Absol or not depends on if it wants to keep throwing flames at the Tower door, but it's definitely got a target in mind. Considering it came from an angry Lucario with an even angrier trainer? That's not a surprise.

Sorry, "Seth", but there's a pink haired lady charging at you right now. You might wanna duck. Probably soon, too.]

[Interference, as expected. Ryuunosuke's prepared though, gesturing for the Gardevoir to intercept the attack with Protect. The Pokémon is obviously reading his mind for directions and while it's quick, there's definitely some hesitation there. This Pokémon isn't Ryuunosuke's, but rather one he's borrowing.

The Absol isn't very pleased by the Aura Sphere attack and growls, turning to blast another Flamethrower attack in the direction it came from. Their job is to cause a disturbance, not actually burn the tower down. A fight is inevitable, and Ryuunosuke's eager enough to engage. He's not the sort to play by the rules either, throwing out another Pokéball, releasing a Steelix.

There's a bit of a hesitation before the Steelix attacks while Ryuunosuke communicates the orders to the Gardevoir, and the Gardevoir communicates those orders to the Steelix. Then suddenly the Steelix slams its tail into the ground to unleash a powerful Earthquake attack. He's trying to put some distance between himself and Lightning so he can get enough time to use Teleport to get away. What do?]

[Some hesitation, but not enough for the Aura Sphere to get through and it impacts harmlessly against the Protect. As for that Flamethrower, well, that's getting met head on with a Water Pulse from the brush, a pair of Lucario's leaping out to take Ryuunosuke's team head on, and they're both snarling. This could get ugly.

But as for Lightning, well, she's leaving them to their own devices. She's got plenty to deal with, what with that Earthquake forcing her to roll or get knocked flat. She still barely manages to keep her footing, needing to slow down, so Ryuunosuke may have that time to get away after all. What do now, huh?]

[This is why everyone needs water types. The good thing about having two oversized Blastoise is that they can cover far more ground than just one.

And both of them are already pointing their cannons at the tower. Meanwhile, Hope has his Altaria flanking Lightning, while he and his three Eeveelutions are running for Ryuunosuke himself, the Umbreon poised for an attack on the psychic-type. He just hopes he can get there in time. Heck he even has a store-bought boomerang at the ready for a Hail Mary in case all else fails.]

[Oh whoa, hang on, no fair! He's the only one allowed to cheat like that!

Ryuunosuke glances from one to the other, quickly judging how much time he'll have. The Gardevoir is level 100 and seems very strong, but Ryuunosuke doesn't want to take the chance of it fainting, even if it can use Teleport after its fainted. Somehow. He doesn't question these things. He orders it to use Protect, effectively blocking any attack the Umbreon tries to throw at it. Ryuunosuke releases two more Pokémon, a Gyarados and a Scolipede. After a moment of transmitting orders through the Gardevoir, the Gyarados and Scolipede move to attack.

Scolipede moves to use Megahorn on the Umbreon in an attempt to take it out quickly, while Gyarados focuses on the Altaria, blasting a Stone Edge attack in its direction. Steelix joins Gyarados in attacking Altaria, attempting to land an Ice Fang attack on the bird. Finally, Absol turns away from blasting flames at the tower in order to... start singing. Perish Song is now in effect!]

[All's fair in war, and this seems to be the start of one, so it's all guns locked and loaded. That includes Pikachus firing Thunderbolts from the relative safety of a tree as they try to hit the Gyarados below without getting turned into a chewtoy. Probably not going to work for long, but somebody's got to try.

Because even with that Perish Song in effect, they can't retreat. There's too much at stake here, which is why the Lucario pair presses on to keep attacking the Absol and Gardevoir, throwing out Aura Spheres and Dark Pulses alike. Something has to get through that Protect, right? It can't last forever! Or all of Lightning's team is hoping, anyway, because their trainer is still running at Ryuunosuke now that the ground is stable. Might wanna duck again, man.]

[As soon as the opponent's Pokémon fixate on his own, Hope knows he's in trouble-- he's under no delusions that he's an exceptional trainer, nor that his Pokémon are all at the peak of their power. The only one who's at level 100 is one of his Blastoise, with his Umbreon coming at only 60.

He hasn't been in actual battle for a long time. That's another thing he knows and doesn't dismiss.

He's screwed.

He's not dumb though, and definitely not a maverick or Snow. When Ryuunosuke's Pokémon attack, Hope stops advancing and backpedals as fast as his legs can do so while his Flareon and Espeon (young and powerful but only barely past 50) covers for his Umbreon with a Flamethrower and a Psybeam, respectively. Hope can feel the flames and psychic attack barely miss him and reels at how close they came, but gathers himself to be able to order the Espeon to start using Future Sight and his lone Altaria to start Singing her own song.]

[Well, that's fucking great. Because he's on the damn top floor of the tower.

Bro's luck just keeps on improving, hm?

Either way, far from him to panic. He's just going to keep trying to help the monks and whatever pokémon that are still inside the tower to evacuate as fast as possible, before shit gets out of hand. Well, even more out of hand.]

[A large bird ducks in through the window, flapping smoke away from her face with her large wings. She looks around, flustered, then calls out telepathically.]

I can Teleport! Who needs to go right away?!

[The trip from the inn to the tower is short when taken at a run. Ondorus shows up not too long after the video is broadcast, Xatu and Luxio at his heels.]

Olivia-!

[The Xatu nods, tapping her beak against his shoulder before flying up and towards the tower. His plan is to have her fly in from an upper window, grab the first few people she sees inside, and Teleport them out to the Pokemon Center, then return and repeat the process. Why doesn't he have a Water-type...?

Hopefully he finds aid and not interference, but...well. We'll see how that goes.]

[See, this is why you need to train all sorts of types! But that's alright, because Ryuunosuke doesn't have a Fire-type and he's using an Absol to set the place on fire so...

Anyway, Ryuunosuke doesn't particularly care too much about actually hurting anyone inside the tower (it would be nice, of course, but that's not the point of this little exercise), but he is more concerned with the interference. Man, you do-gooder types just flock to the scene of attacks, don't you?

He's not sure where the Xatu came from, but he does see her flying in through the window and gestures for Absol to aim at her. Look out, there's a Flamethrower attack coming your way!]

[-shit NO NO NO NO WE DON'T NEED THAT

Ondorus' Luxio snarls and jumps forward, flinging up a Light Screen to cut the Flamethrower's momentum and give Olivia time to duck inside the Tower. This is about the point at which Ondorus realizes that his only decently-leveled fighter is the one who recently had a violent tantrum and hasn't listened to a word he's said since.

He freezes with his hand hovering over Zaidra's Pokeball, while the Luxio whirls and fires a Thunder Wave off in Absol's direction. His aim is wild and poor.]

[Not bad! Ryuunosuke smirks underneath that mask, quite pleased with this. At least there's some strategists out there who will liven up this fight! That's about when Ryuunosuke finally spots Ondorus, gesturing for Absol to turn her attention that way. After a moment of communicating with the Gardevoir, the Absol uses Psycho Cut, aiming at Ondorus. The Thunder Wave hits her while she's distracted, but Ryuunosuke doesn't seem bothered by that. He instead pulls out another Pokéball, releasing a Steelix and gesturing for him to use Rock Throw on the Luxio. Might as well take that one out before focusing on the Xatu, since it seems like the trainer wants to protect the bird. Understandably so, it can get people back to safety.]

[Once Olivia is inside the building, his work is done - she can Teleport straight out.

Ondorus comes back into motion, releasing his own Absol, who, being a Dark-type, intercepts and cancels the Psycho Cut. The Absol darts to the Luxio's side with Quick Attack and throws up a Protect, while the Luxio Roars at the Steelix.

Adrenaline doesn't treat Ondorus well. He's a methodical thinker, and being forced to react quickly has his mind in a whirl. He's researched and experimented and thought and planned and practiced, coming up with strategies, teaching his Pokemon the uses for their powers, devising combinations like these...but with an unpredictable enemy, he has to rely on his team's reflexes and levels.

And their levels are not very impressive at all. He needs to get Gunther and Theo out of danger, have them return to his side while the Steelix is stalled...]

Ssssso this is what he was talking about!

[He’s just going to sit there cackling for a good minute or so.]

That is mossst definitely quite the exciting display!

[And more cackling.]

Thank you, sir! I do what I can!

[Oh, wait, there's no reason to keep the mask on! Ryuunosuke is now in the safety of the Team Rocket base back in Goldenrod. He hasn't healed his Pokémon since he left the base, meaning Gardevoir was able to teleport him directly back to the Team Rocket base and escape without anyone noticing him. He really must thank Kimblee for that plan, and for letting him borrow the Gardevoir in the first place.

Anyway, Ryuunosuke pulls off the mask and hat, ducking his head slightly in a bow.]

Mister Kimblee is full of amazing ideas! I'm just glad I could help!

[Given what Cobra knew about "Seth," he assumed it was either Kimblee or Archer under the mask. And since Kimblee had a tournament to win for Team Rocket, Cobra thought it was Archer.

Apparently he was wrong. But that's not going to stop him from congratulating Ryuunosuke on a job well done!]

Sssso this was Kimblee's idea, and you carried it out? I'm sure he'll be very happy with the results! I know I am!

[Oh come now, Archer's shoulders are way too broad and that would give him away! Can't have that, now can we~?]

Yes it was! He's so great at coming up with things like this! I'm really glad I could help him out! He was a bit worried about it, but I told him I could handle it!

Oh I would sssay you more than handled it. You seem to have performed admirably, and I'm ssssure he'll agree.

[This is the plus side of dealing with Cobra. Do things he likes and he will spam praise at them all day long.]

A performance like that would have earned a medal in my organization!

[But he might have to share it with others depending on Cobra's financial status.]

[This... this is truly a sight to behold. Bowser watches intently as the Absol's fire flies at the tower. The screams, the chaos...]

Gwa ha ha ha! And here I almost thought this place was gonna be too peaceful. Glad to see I was mistaken!

[Ryuunosuke bows slightly, straightening back up after a moment. He doesn't remove the mask - even if Bowser is a Rocket (and is super cool), he's been told not to reveal his identity. When he communicates, the voice is distorted and more than a bit odd - it's coming from the Gardevoir rather than from Ryuunosuke himself.]

It's good to see someone interested in my work. My name is Seth. It's a pleasure to meet you.

Well, it's sure more interesting than half the stuff I've seen over this network! Everyone's way too nice for their own good.

[Especially that pink haired girl who thinks everything is cute.

Annnd Bowser doesn't bother questioning the weird voice. He's seen and heard stranger, after all!]

And as for me, I'm Bowser, the almighty king of the Koopas!

You have a rather distasteful sense of timing, you know.

[The voice that comes across the 'Gear is a bit odd and distorted; if you're familiar with Psychic-types and how they communicate, it should seem familiar. Ryuunosuke is using the Gardevoir to speak so his voice isn't recognized.]

Ah, do I? What makes you say that?

[The Gardevoir's tone is almost teasing. Shame it's not Ryuunosuke's voice, he could properly get the mocking tone across better.]

It's unlikely that many people will be in Violet at the moment... or, was that the point?
