So... I have a question.

[Uh oh, this sounds promising. Ryuunosuke is sitting in the Game Corner, dressed in the clothing of the attendants. He's currently on break and playing a game of Voltorb Flip while he speaks. Someone else is clearly holding the 'Gear while he talks, though he doesn't make eye contact with the 'Gear.]

What are some really rare Pokémon? I'm getting bored of seeing the same ones all the time. I want to raise something that no one else has! Or at least something that very few people have. There's gotta be something cool out there that people aren't using!

[He flips a card over and makes a face when it's revealed to be a Voltorb.]

I've got plenty of money to spare, so I can buy Pokémon or eggs off of anyone who's got something I like. So show me your rarest Pokémon, okay?

[The feed cuts there, at least for the public.]

[The feed returns a little while later, with Ryuunosuke still frowning at Voltorb Flip. He flips a card and grins when it reveals a "3".]

[He looks up at the 'Gear and smiles, tipping his head a bit to the side and trying to look cute. He manages for the most part, though there's a strangely distant look in his eyes, if you look closely.]

I think I'm going to go traveling. I like Goldenrod, but it's been awhile since I went anywhere, you know? Does anyone have any Pokémon they want me to get them or something? I'm thinking about heading to the Safari Zone - I've heard good things about it - but if you want me to catch you something somewhere else, I can do that!

...Alternatively, if anyone's got any plans in the future, let me know, alright? It's been so boring lately. Someone's gotta do something cool soon!

Yep! I'm guessing you're pretty new here if you haven't heard of the Game Corner. You should check it out when you get to Goldenrod!

Aren't those sorts of games usually rigged so that the players will lose?

I never said you had to play! Though the prizes are pretty cool if you manage to win! Some of the games aren't really based on luck, but rather skill! Like Voltorb Flip!

Well you could just look around! The Game Corner is a pretty big tourist attraction in Goldenrod, after all! It's the only one of its kind in Johto!

Yes! I'm not very good at it, unfortunately. I'm trying to get better, but I don't really have the patience to figure out where the Voltorbs would be.

Yeah! It seems like we're always understaffed. It's a pretty sweet job!

You must've held down other jobs along the way, then. P3000 isn't nearly enough to make it from New Bark to Goldenrod without it.

Well, I doubt you're missing out on much! I've never worked in the Center, but I doubt it's any fun at all!

Mm. So long as it pays well, that's really my main concern. Even a tedious job is better than none at all.

I guess that's true! What about the Gym Leaders though? You get some money for beating them!

My team may not be strong enough yet. Are they very difficult to beat?

It depends on types, honestly. Even if you're a lower level you can beat someone if you've got the right types! From what I remember, the first Gym Leader in Violet was pretty difficult, but if you've got rocks or electricity, you should be good!

[Lies; he's never actually fought Falkner and the only time he was in Violet was to attack Sprout Tower. But that doesn't need to be said~]

That's the problem, then. I haven't got either.

Well, what level are your Pokémon? Sometimes you can just brute force it if you don't have anything good against the Gym Leader! But I'd focus on getting at least one of every type so you can build a balanced team!

[Ryuunosuke, what are you talking about you only raise Ghosts and Dark-types.]
