Ah...do you think we could meet at the tree, actually?

[There's not going to be anyone around at this time of night; he's usually still avoiding it unless there's something important going on there, but for the time being he doesn't want to be inside.]

Huh, sure thing. Any reason why you want to meet there specifically?

Though I guess you can tell me that in person! Give me a few minutes and I can meet you there!

[Ryuunosuke doesn't take long to get prepared. He's out at the tree soon enough and it looks like he's switched back to his normal clothes. No Lisa Frunk this late at night, thank god.]

Heeey, Tsukiyama!

[He's not very loud even if there is no one around, but the greeting is accompanied by way too many sparkles anyway.]

[...thankfully Tsukiyama is not in the technicolor either right now; he's got on one of his nicer outfits, and it's very definitely Verens fashion, but it's decidedly more toned-down.]

It's good of you to come out here; I was feeling restless and didn't really want to be indoors for now.

[He's quiet for a moment at that.]

I said I had some things to discuss with you before we made any decisions about where to go from here. Is it all right if we talk about that for a while?

[He has no idea what they need to talk about, so naturally it's been eating at him a bit.]

[He'll pause for a moment before tipping his head in the direction of the tree.]

[This is definitely not an excuse to get to hug on Tsukiyama for a bit, nope.

[Of course not; either way, they've done this before - it involves an arm around Ryuunosuke's waist and a fair amount of quick movements, but the jumps up are fairly effortless, all things considered, and when he sets Ryuunosuke down next to him the motion is an easy one.

He remains standing once he's done it, though, seeming unbothered by the height and the relative unsteadiness of the branches compared to the ground.]

...I really do still like it up here, despite everything that happened a couple of months ago.

[He's not quite as steady on his feet which is totally not an excuse to cling to Tsukiyama's arm. Sure, he could sit and be fine, but why do that when he could touch Tsukiyama??]

I'm really glad you do. It's nice up here. I can't get up this high on my own.

A lot of people have trouble with it, from what I understand. Miss Rose Quartz often had to help them up when she was still here.

[He doesn't seem like he wants to shake Ryuunosuke off at least, though after a moment he does move to sit down as opposed to just standing here.]

[He normally isn't this serious. He means every word; whatever Tsukiyama has to tell him isn't something he'll tell anyone else.]

[It's said quietly but straightforwardly; he's seeming a bit awkward, but the fact is that this is what he wants to do.]

What I am is something that would get me killed in Tokyo - if a human were to find out and take it to the authorities, then that would be it. They would track me down and kill me, and they'd kill my family, and nothing I could do or say would stop them because my very existence is enough to warrant a death sentence. That's why I couldn't say anything to you - even if things aren't like that here, it's not something I can have anyone find out.

Oh... So it wasn't that you couldn't trust me, specifically, it's that you can't trust any human with it.

[He thinks he understands a bit better, at least. It's sort of a relief to hear, in some strange way. He didn't screw up, it's just all the humans in Tokyo who did!!]

Ah...no, it's definitely the former overall. Sometimes it's a boredom thing with me as well, but that's more of a personal choice and it isn't smiled upon by the others back home.
